Pregnancy, delivery and after birth

Pregnant women consult me for complaints in pregnancy, during and after delivery. In pregnancy. the mother chooses a treatment that supports her own immune system and has no (harmful) side effects on the child in her womb. With as minimal and as mild a stimulus as possible, the homeopathic remedy, the resistance is stimulated in such a way that the pregnant woman, mother or baby will overcome the symptoms again. Homeopathic remedies have no side effects and are not harmful in any way. Preeminently a healing method for pregnancy and the newborn child. Homeopathic remedies are also safe during breastfeeding.

Complaints in pregnancy often provide homeopathically valuable symptoms and information.       A so-called ‘constitutional treatment’ during pregnancy thus also has positive effects on conditions that already existed before pregnancy.

In urgent situations such as e.g. during childbirth, homeopathic remedies can work very quickly, usually as fast and sometimes even faster than regular medication. Parents regularly discuss with me how they view illness and health of their (future) child and about possible familial strains. They consult me about vaccinations, childhood diseases and travelling with small children (in the tropics).

Childbirth

Childbirth is a natural process. Sometimes labour is difficult and lasts longer than necessary due to unprogressing, interrupted or too intense contractions. Exhaustion or anxiety can also cause labour not to progress.

At such times, a homeopathic remedy will ensure that the non-progressing or interrupted contractions start again. When contractions are too intense or a storm of contractions occur, the contractions move to a calmer and more regular rhythm. An exhausted woman will find that she regains the necessary strength.

In case of a stuck placenta, a homeopathic medicine can ensure that the placenta still releases on its own.

The choice of homeopathic medicine is determined by the symptoms and features that are present at that moment of labour.

  • the contractions: type of pains, where in the body the woman feels the contractions, the strength and regularity of the contractions
  • the degree of dilation
  • the degree of exhaustion
  • further physical data: temperature, colour of face and body, leg cramps, urge to urinate or defecate
  • the emotional state: anxiety, excitement, anger, impatience, apathy, restlessness, crying or screaming, tolerance of sound and light
  • the need for or aversion to: emotional support, touch, drinking or eating, lying still or moving, something warm or cold or fresh air

There is the possibility of purchasing a set of the most common birthing remedies.
